Ukrainians Have Invested Nearly €52 Million in Solar Power Plants in the Last Three Years

The representatives of the State Department of Energy Efficiency shared the information that over the past three years, Ukrainians have invested almost 52 million euros in the construction of solar power stations.

On the one hand, it is a consequence of world ecological trends, on the other hand – the rapid demand for alternative energy, in particular the solar one, which was caused by the adoption of the “green” tariff in the 2015 year.

In total, since 2015, 3010 has started to use solar energy for households, “the report said. Individual power of private solar power plants – up to 30 kW, and total – 51 MW. Today their owners can sell electricity at 18,09 Eurocent / kWh. At the same time, the “green” tariff is tied to the euro.

Families come to solar energy in all regions of the country, but the top-5 are: Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kherson regions.

To stimulate the population, in the Lviv region, for example, households return 10% of the loan amount to the solar panels, while in Zhytomyr – 20% of the loan amount. At the same time, the city authorities of Khmelnitsky and Brody (Lviv Oblast) reimburse 10% of the costs of installing solar power plants.
