Ukraine’s “Green” Tariff Is Raised for 4%

National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities 29 December 2017 raised the “green” rate for 4% by adopting a resolution on the establishment of “green” tariff for business entities and private households, which entered to force since 1 January 2018.

For business entities.

Resolution number 1617 from 29.12.2017 “About establishment of “green” electricity tariffs and overpay to “green” tariffs for use of Ukrainian production equipment for business entities”.

  1. For producers of electricity from solar energy

    • Terrestrial objects installed which capacity exceeding 10 MW (totally in Ukraine there are 13 units of those) – 838,65 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh

    • Terrestrial objects installed which capacity is less than or equal to 10 MW (totally in Ukraine there are 82 units of those) – 487,46-1509,56 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh (price ranges and assigned individually to each business entity).

    • Objects that are mounted (installed) on roofs and / or facades of houses and buildings, which capacity exceeding 100 kW (totally in Ukraine there are  3 units of those) – 1132,17- 1446,66 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh (price ranges and assigned individually to each business entity).

    • Objects that are mounted (installed) on roofs and / or facades of houses and buildings, which capacity not exceeding 100 kW (totally in Ukraine there are  10 units of those) 1046.56 – 1383.77 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh (price ranges and assigned individually to each business entity).

    • The power plants are mounted (installed) on roofs and / or facades of houses and buildings and commissioned after 30 June 2015 (totally in Ukraine there are  30 units of those) 531,14- 585.30 (excluding VAT) , kopecks / kWh (price ranges and assigned individually to each business entity).

  2. Producers of electricity from wind energy (totally in Ukraine there are  14 wind parks) 330,22 – 366,91 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh (price ranges and assigned individually to each business entity).

  3. Producers of electricity from biomass  (totally in Ukraine there are  6 units of those)  401,85 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh.

  4. Producers of electricity from biogas (totally in Ukraine there are  13 units of those) 401,85 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh.

  5. Producers of electricity from micro, mini and small hydroelectric power plants  (totally in Ukraine there are  60 units of those) 377,39 – 628,98 (excluding VAT) kopecks / kWh( price ranges and assigned individually to each business entity).

    11 business entities have got premium tariff for using Ukrainian equipment

    5% + to the tariff 6 producers of electricity from solar energy power which capacity is less than or equal to 10 MW LLC «PODILLYA SOLAR PRO», LLC «Rendzhy Sarata» (SPS Vinnytsʹka obl., Sharhorodsʹkyy r-n, Sharhorod, street Luhova, 96), LLC «Solar Park Pidhorodne» (SPS-3 Dnipropetrovsʹka obl., Dnipropetrovsʹkyy r-n, Pidhorodne), LLC «Rendzhy Bershadʹ» (SPS «Bilozerka»), LLC «Rendzhy Trostyanetsʹ (SPS «Mykolayivka»), LLC «FREE-ENERGY» (SPS «Mala Lepetykha»)

    10% + to the tariff 1 producer of electricity from wind energy – LLC «Wind park Prychornomorsʹkyy»

    5 and 10% + to tariff 4 Producers of electricity from micro, mini and small hydroelectric power plants:

    10% + to tariff for LLC «UKRHIDRO 2009» (Uladivsʹka HPP), LLC «VATTENKRAFT UKRAYINA» (Velykooleksandrivsʹka HPP)

    5% + to tariff  for HPP on the Teteriv River, Zhytomyr, Street Zhyka, 12, HPP on the river Riv, Vinnitsa region, Zhmerinsky district, on the territory of the Demidov Village Council.

     To private households.

    Resolution number 1609 of 29/12/2017 About establishment of “green” electricity tariffs for private households:

    1. Solar energy electric power  facilities installed which capacity not exceeding 30 kW and which are in operation:

    from January 1, 2017 until December 31, 2019 – 587,05 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);

    from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2024 – 527,65 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);

    from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2029 – 469,99 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT).

    2. Wind electric power facilities installed which capacity not exceeding 30 kW and which are in operation,

    from July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 – 377,39 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);

    from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2024 – 338,95 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT);

    from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2029 – 302,26 kopecks / kWh (excluding VAT).
