Thanks to the EU-supported Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects programme, the hospital in Voznesensk, Ukraine, has become energy efficient. All the hospital’s windows have been replaced with modern double-glazed ones, which will ensure the thermal insulation of the building, resulting in heat and energy savings.
The retrofitting works also include the thermal insulation of the building’s facades. It is expected that the energy efficiency measures will lead to energy savings of 62%, hence the hospital administration will be able to save money on heating and ensure better conditions for its patients.
