In the village of Slavske, which is one of the most famous tourist centers in Lviv, a ban has been imposed on the use of plastic products. It was reported by the press center of the Lviv Center for the Development of Local Government.

“France, Italy and some US states have already understood all the consequences of such actions and refused to use polyethylene. In many countries, they are already holding events that aim to reduce the use of polyethylene. Slavskaya OTG cannot remain aloof from this painful problem, ”Vladimir Bega stated this, Chairman of the Slavsky.

It was known that the rejection of plastic bags and other products of this nature will occur gradually. The alternative was to choose biological polymer, paper bags or reusable fabric bags.

There is also information that representatives of the local government are now preparing an appropriate environmental campaign, in which they want to attract media. People will be familiar with the information about the dangers of plastic bags, methods of recycling plastic containers and the need to limit the usage.

In order to familiarize children with this topic, educational hours of training and informational meetings will be held on environmental pollution and on the transition to environmentally friendly materials.

“The finance department of the OTG is preparing a special material incentive program for exemplary business entities,” the organization stated.

Recall that in Georgia in order to reduce environmental pollution, the production, import, and sale of plastic bags with a thickness lesser than 15 microns is prohibited.
