Borshchagovsky Chemical-Pharmaceutical Factory Reduces Natural Gas Use by 40% and Has Turned to Domestic Ecofuels

One of the largest drug manufacturers in Ukraine, the Borshchagov Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant (BHFZ), switched to Ukrainian ecological fuel and implemented a system of energy management, which has reduced the use of natural gas by 40%.
«In the autumn of 2017, a new boiler-house on wooden pallets began at the plant. The installation of these boilers ensures the work of the company without the use of natural gas to the temperature -5 ° C.
It was only from the beginning of the current heating season that it was possible to save about 700 thousand UAH. Last year, 2016 year, the savings from the implemented measures amounted to 966 thousand UAH. The program for energy saving in 2018 year is 850 thousand UAH.

At the same time, in order to obtain permission for the use of solid fuel boilers, the company had to spend 3 years.
BHFZ (Kiev) is one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine with more than 850 employees. The enterprise is a large taxpayer — over 2016 million were paid in 120 year taxes and fees, for the first half of 2017 year — about 68,5 million UAH.
